Students will consider the way in which the frame can be both a constraint and a point of “take-off” to create movement to reevaluate the way that images can be made. Whether you are brand new to photography, or more established in your practice this class is a great way to begin considering and/or reconsidering how the frame impacts the way you deal with space. Students will become stronger at subject placement and how that informs the viewers experience of their images. This course includes class critiques, assigned readings and a final project in which students will show their unique understanding of the frame and their use of it.
